Homepage news

Well, I've stated before that I hated how plain the news looked on the new layout and due to that fact, I decided to spruce up the news layout a little bit. For one, I added avatars to the post (so any admin who posts a news topic that does have an avatar will be clearly distinguishable on the homepage). Second, I changed up the layout a little.
So what do you think? Better or worse? Any additional changes needed (ignoring the archives, I'm still working on that)?
PS. I did forget to mention, I'm back in town. So....I'm back! I didn't win very much this trip though. Only came home $15 richer. |

OK as of today, I am ending support of Win95/Win98/Win98se/WinMe. Reasons for this, I no longer have the means to test on these operating systems nor do I have a low spec machine anymore. Therefore here are the following system requirements to use any product supplied by us. If you use a lower end machine and experience little to no problems (Game FPS must be >= 30) please post here and we may change the requirements.
Minimum System Requirements
- Operating System: Windows 2000
- Processor: 800 Mhz
- Memory: 128 MB
- Graphics Card: 32 MB, Direct3D 8 Capable
- Sound Card: DirectSound Capable Audio Device (temporarily)
- DirectX Version: 8.0
- Disk Space: ??? (Too soon to tell)
- Internet Access: Highspeed Internet Connection (anything better than dial-up)

Well as I promised, now that all maintenance is done, here is the updated Demo, minus some of the mentioned changes in my development blog.
Please don't ignore the information box that pops up when it starts. It takes a few seconds to allow you to push OK, for a reason. To attempt to force you to read. Also notice that when it starts scrolling, you can simply click anywhere on the text in order to pause the text for a few seconds.
Report any bugs/errors you encounter with this latest demo in the Support Forum

Scheduled Maintenance

 |
Please be aware, the forum/site will be undergoing some maintenance tomorrow (Saturday, 29 March, 2008). If you attempt to access the site and encounter errors, or simply the site appears to be dead, this is the reason. The maintenance should last through Saturday only, but don't be surprised if it lasts fully through the weekend. After the maintenance, I expect most errors with the site to be gone completely, and the overall speed should dramatically increase.
After 9:00 PM CST today, the forums will be locked down so no new posts will be accepted. All admin/dev, please make sure to respect this lock and do not post despite the fact you can get around the lock. Your posts will be lost, and you will have to retype them after the site returns. This post, in its entirety, will be mass mailed to all users of the forum as well.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, ~ BigRed (who is sick of his alias, and will be henceforth known as Calix since its the only name I could generate/find that I can remember and spell) |
